Ela Ohm God
- An old god willed a great beast out in the Before. It could eat itself
and replicate itself simultaneously at an impossible speed.
It was purely a toy to
see the whole of it vribrate and jitter around like a bug. And for that
reason a great number of
embellishments were attached, immense bursts of mass and destruction and
expulsion, like so many balloons being popped and inflated.
In very quick time it became a dense mass of wants. It had no clear thoughts,
but a clear emergent reason and decision. A sentience not so far away from
intelligence, but much closer to belief.
For a short time the old god found this curious and let it play out, growing larger, and forming
clear parts, as if immense storms of life aimed all their lightning and rain sideways,
into other friendly storms, speaking, listening, and choosing direction.
It was at this time the old god became tired of the toy and looked to end it,
but found that
this strucure of being was far more able to survive in of itself. A hard rule.
And so it was named, and then locked behind one of the great old gates.
Rymyr, Mother of Monsters
Teurzg is the silent leader of the Aogos - gods who always were - who reside in the Far Halled Chamber high above the Holy Isles of the Elhannai.
Teurzg is the only Aogos who may wander the halls of the chamber, but never has. They are almost always silent, and it is rumored they may be mute and deaf. Teurzg spends all their time in double genuflection, head down to the ground, covered in cloths in solemn meditative prayer. To what and for what Teurzg prays, we know not, but it's thought they can communicate to others through this practice, commanding the other Aogos to their holy duties. It is said that Teurzg may be able to talk to almost anyone and anything this way, no matter its physical or magical status.
In the Far Halled Chamber, the Aogos occupy the ends of never ending halls. Across from them is always a partner, who they may never quite clearly see or hear, and so they must trust and believe in thier actions. To further this test of faith, the Aogos amplify their inability to move down the infinite hall to their dearest friend with intricate bonds. So it is with most Aogos, but not with Teurzg.
Across from Teurzg is the hall of Thysx, which has always been empty. It smells of beasts, and is covered in ivy. Teurzg is the only Aogos who is tested alone, and so whose life is ever more challenging, though the Aogos see this as a gift. All tests like this, to them, are a way to re-establish their faith and love for that which they have.
The Elhannai believe the Aogos are in fact not any one god, but all gods from all religions, like a single mind of many bodies. In times of great interconnectedness and balance between the divine, Teurzg may command and speak with the mind of all gods in the form of Akktts the All (Ela Rha Sace).
In the nature era, Teurzg is the great water mammoth laying on the bottom of the Holy Sea. When the mammoth passes on, the Aogos save Teurzg's life and placed in the children of Akullm, creating the first intellgent peoples.
Akullm oversees the intelligent races in all environs.
RP: Teurzg is mute, so there's a few ways to treat this.
-You can say a message is received telepathically and say it out loud
- You could write it on a note (in convenient or inconvenient response time - which also allows opportunity for secrecy)
- If being sent to characters with dark/clouded minds, they may only get pieces or none of the message
-Due to Teurzg's strength, interaction with them or other Aogos may result in unintended interception of unrelated messages having to do with who/what/why Teurzg and the Aogos pray in the first place
As for Teurzg's voice, think of them as a fairly positive and grateful monk who is in deep isolation. They are deeply appreciativce, deeply thoughtful, somewhat sleepy, but otherwise very at peace and still. What the Aogos pray to, and Teurzg specifically, is up to the player to decide, but it is an intentional secret kept by the Aogos to begin with possibly connected to the old gods, the titans, and the time before the magic era.
Most Aogos have hidden pockets of surprisingly people-like traits. They have favorite foods, entertainment, fleeting thoughts, inside jokes, and so on. They may not be at the same scale as the elves, humans, and so on, but the behavior is very much the same. Just as they pray in a mortal way, their fringes are woven with markers we recongize as mortal as well. For Teurzg, these are most notable in their love of animals and feigning interest in what will happen in the future.
Teurzg carries a sense of mourning, though we know not why.
Visual: Teurzg is at the end of a hall in the Far halled Chamber. Alone, Thysx gone. They are sexless and androgynous short and skinny figure, tightly wound in simple threadbare robes of many cheerful colors, though with a great accent of grey, black, and other dulset tones. They kneel with their hands in front of them towards an ancient stone wall. The kind that has absorbed powerful prayers for eternity. There is dust, and heat, and worship in the stonesm their cut, and their age. Teurzg prays on a rug, and they are further covered by a light simple sheet. Ther face is mainly obscured by their forehead being place squarely against the floor in devout worship. Of what scraps of skin we might see are covered in long curving tattoos we cannot understand. There is a strong sense of minimalism, a few other simple items around their chamber, but they gather dust, suggesting Teurzg may never move or may simply be dead.
