Dau+color image

Dau is the color of strength, integrity, and might.  It's the result of tremendous effort and hardship, allowing for a critical mass to tip the scales of power.  High Dau creatures are strong, leveraging their natural advantage over weaker opponents or raising a shield to defend their allies.  As such, Dau corresponds to either inner and outer strength.

With Rha, Dau includes the element of fire and the season of summer.  Activities such as fishing, bonding, or wrestling that include the draw of Rha with the physicality of Dau are also associated with the colors.

With Biz, Dau represents fate, destiny, survival, and nature.  Natural selection and survival of the fittest are the hallmarks of these colors.

With Wim, Dau supports the fighter, guardian, soldier, and warrior.  But also the threat of attack and the courage to rise to the occasion.  Fear is the dominant emotion of these colors.

Glei and Quae are the colors with the least overlap with Dau.  Might and skill have always been somewhat at odds, and the high minded aspirations of those colors often conflict with the immediate needs of Dau.

An athlete or pit fighter would be a good example of a Dau-based character.  Whistleblowers or conscientious objectors would show the more courageous side of Dau.  Tyrants who believe might makes right or the ardent rebels who oppose them could be further examples.  Whereas Biz-based characters react to their circumstances, Dau-based characters proactively mold and shape theirs.

Marcus Aurelius might be an atypical example of a Dau-based historical figure.  Though he's remembered today as something of a philosopher king (perhaps in the Rha Vei colors), he successfully led a number of military campaigns as the ruler of perhaps the strongest empire of his time.  His stoicism, doubt in the divine, and approach to matters of ethics and morality indicate that he's neither a Rha or Ela centered character.  And while his meditations give us great insight into the demands placed on a Roman Emperor, his approach strongly suggests a sort of personal conviction or integrity more typical of Dau.

Jutu+color image

Jutu is the color of dexterity, agility, and flexibility.  Beyond reflexes and fine motor skills, it encapsulates one's ability to manipulate his or her environment, use technological devices, and concepts such as space and dimensionality.

With Yun, Jutu represents freedom and oppression.  Corporeal and symbolic bondage is no match for a thriving and liberated people.

With Pfi, Jutu comprises logical thought, craft/technology, and the devices and structures yielded by those efforts.  Rogues depend especially on dexterity and intelligence to operate.

With Glei, Jutu carries the element of storm with the season of spring.  Since both dexterity and perception are needed for marksmanship, these colors include all range attacks or abilities as well.

Ela and Rha are the colors with the least in common with Jutu.  Jutu usually occupies the space between unconscious thought and necessary action, with little time to actively think or feel.  Conversion and stealing might both change the control of a person or object, but they do so in fundamentally different ways.

A rebellious rogue might be a good example of a Jutu based character.  Striving for freedom (Yun) by subverting authority (Ela Rha) through theft and inventive heists (Pfi) that keep her one step ahead of, and out of sight of, authorities (Glei).  The real question is whether her plan will work or backfire spectacularly (PfI).

Buzz Aldrin might be a good example of a real world Jutu based character.  Not only was he one of the first people to fly through outer space and land on the moon, his experience as a fighter pilot and high school quarterback are also relevant.  Though he said, "homework was my nemesis," he overcame his challenges with education, eventually writing a doctoral degree on line-of-sight guidance techniques.

Jutu maps most closely to the classic color Yellow Green or Chartreuse Green:
